My dog did the same thing earlier - luckily it wasnt my last one though.
As for chocolate being fatel to dogs - it doesn't do them a lot of good, but mine often manages to get hold of some (god knows how!!) and it hasn't done her any harm yet (other than being a bit overweight).
My pony decided he was gonna finish my chocolate bar the other day - not sure it would have done him much good either....it was beyond rescue by the time I noticed it had gone though!!
Yeah, Morrisons have a whole bunch in, AND I get a discount so, I'll be hitting there tomorrow.
Turns out, the dog I blamed was not the culprit. T'was Sappy, the little bastard, snuck into my room while I was sleeping, ate my creme egg, and then used my best rubber as a chew toy!
RE. Choc for dogs, milk choc isn't that bad. Dark choc is. Milk choc does do harm but you need more of it that dark but 1 creme egg won't be enough (unless its a small puppy!). I think it's something in the region of 3g of cocoa per kg of dog but my notes have misteriously gone missing off my computer!
Just buy a bunch more and leave them somewhere high up so the dogs cant get at them coz they are far too good to give away to a dog when you could just eat them yourself!!!!!
