Modified/extended release Venlafaxine

Hey

Sorry to bother you.

My Venlafaxine has been changed to a modified release kind instead of having to take morning and night.

When I take it usually i.e. not extended release form, it can make me kinda drowsy sometimes and was just wondering whether this will now occur throughout the day or perhaps will stop as not much will be released at a time? Sorry, just wondering as the slight drowsiness feeling can help me drop off to sleep when I'm not in a full blown insomnia phase.

Thanks

I always had insomnia with any type of venlafaxine, so I can't help you, unfortunately.

I was really quite ill with the normal venlafaxine, when I changed to modified release I could function again. I didn't get the sickness, dizzyness or the need to sleep for around 19 hours a day.
I found it a saviour!

Hope it works better for you, it certainly did me! xx

Hey

Thanks for your replies. Don't seem to be having any side effects as such. However, I have noticed that both with the usual Venlafaxine and the XL one, my pupils seems to be farirly dilated at times when they wouldn't usually be. Has this happened to anyone or is this just a coincidence? Should I be concerned about it at all?

Sorry, bit of a worry wart as of late.
