BOMB IN COVENTRY!
Old WW2 bomb behind Belgrade. Which ironically is showing One Night In November - a drama about the Blitz, mega lolz.
City Centre evacutated! Buses redirected to Pool Meadow! I love voluntary medical work. We always get the fun...
Haha, so got a text twenty minutes ago with those fun words: RED ALERT. haha. So **** work, bike home, jump in greens and ready to roll! It's not even Friday yet...

Eeeek!
Doubt it is live and they have evacuated everyone, but if I go missing for days - you know why!

They really have closed *everything*. Our Uni has it's famous Varsity day today - that should be interesting!

How are you posting?!
Do you know:
1. When it was officially found
2. What they are planning to do.
Stupid question, but what are rest centres? And organising what with the members on foot?
There are sirens everywhere!!!

I'm not sure when it was found but evacuation was around 3 because we got members out at ten past. I don't know what they're doing. Rest Centres are for people evacuated and unable to get home. I am part of a voluntary medical organisation who provide medical assistance. In the event of a major incident (aka this) we contact our members to see if they are available to help , where to go, what to take etc. What I mean by members on foot are those on route to help out or cover those that cannot stay for longer. Right now we are preparing night-shift type cover with members replacing members who have been on site since around 3. Our 'communications center' aka our office has 6 phones linked to one number so if one phone dies we have another to use, and two for the offical communications number, plus our mobiles. So we've easily phoned and received over 100 calls already.
I managed to get twenty minutes to nip to chippy for food as mr diabetic needs to get his blood sugar up! Never had anything like this in cov!
Oh and all our information that we've giving our members is thanks to Cov & Warwick radio!

I'm sad there is nothing that I can do to help.
They still haven't managed to do anything now then? Hmmm, my man is supposed to be coming back into Cov now, that should be a challenge!!
Keep it up lovely,
Chloe xx

Well it's all over for me. Controlled explosion around 3 am. Just finished up the paperwork. We stood down at 07.00 so that equals a good 17-hour shift. Time for bed
