Well, I've had a free weekend.
I've been doing so much, I've not had chance to stop and think (:
I've actually had an awesome weekend (:
I took my new horse, Peter [!], to his first affiliated competition. When I say affiliated, it's like the difference between school athletics, and the UK Athletics Association events, so it's hefty stuff (:
He's really green [a baby] so we weren't expecting much from him, plus it was really windy, and his first ever event (: His dressage score was good, 41.6, and you want the lowest mark possible - high twenties or low thirties usually wins it.
He jumped really well in the two jumping sections, was a little scared at some fences, but really put his mind to it (:
We were tenth overall, out of twenty. I know it doesn't sound that great but in the class we were doing a top ten placing is brilliant (:
I think there's good things to come from him, & will try and post some pictures once they're up (:
This is probably just waffle to you, but it's kept my weekend on a high :D and I'm so proud of him.
