What drives/guides you? What is it in life, abstract, concrete or both, that keeps you moving? What do you feel you live for? The sun in the sky? The cash in your account? The love of you children or can't you put your finger on it?
If so, have you ever considered the question I'm asking?
I'm interested because I've been developing yet another little life theory of my own and, wrapped around the thoughts of my ancestors, I realise that we all have to hold onto something to give us impetus in our lives – be it religion, or love and companionship. Laughter and fun, deep emotion, constant challenge, hedonism, deprivation, charity or avarice and so on.. So, by way of contribution to my thoughts I would ask for perhaps a few words that describe what drives you, and as many as you like explaining why – individual experience, global events, religious matters or just that overwhelming aspect of your personality that nobody can ignore.
To get the ball rolling, I would say that I am driven by a passionate soul, of love and laughter, of tears and joy. A thirst for knowledge burns away within me and a desire to travel, to move and see the world around me. I am guided by sensitivity, but this tempers the fires within and can leave me guarded when faced with those whose guard is not a mantle upon them.
I am impulsive and considerate, guided, and as often lost or becalmed by a great contest within..
...so, what of you????
Thanks for reading :)
People will forget what you said
People will forget what you did
But people will never forget how you made them feel
Just a few words? Well I reckon its just passion, empathy and a desperate need to spread my eccentric personality as far as possible. Keeps me going.
Not to mention friendship. Friends keep me going more than anything else.
love.
laughter.
random surprises that make me smile.
the hope that one day things will feel easier.

[center]" I know what it's like to want to die. How it hurts to smile. How you try to fit in but you can't. How you hurt yourself on the outside to try to kill the thing on the inside."
What drives me is life and air in my lungs. I see life as a big challenge (or obstacle) to overcome; theres no easy way out and the only way to fail is to cheat yourself.
Yet, i desire to see others happy. Nothing makes me happier than a smile upon the face of a close friend. Although, i don't like been lied to, and i don't like having things held from me. If a friend is suffering, i preffere to know and at least be there for them.

You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
Making a difference I guess. Small or big, just making a small, positive difference to someone's life.
I wouldn't define that as "what i'm living for", it's just something that's there that if i'm feeling positive does give me a positive hope to life?
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."

ha. but no seriously, i just hope all these amazing advances happen in my lifetime because i would absolutley love to be one of those annoying old people who say "well back in my day.."
i can't wait for the world to be like the fifth element.
Love and learning. Those are the two most basic, most crucial things to me. I love so many people so so so so much. And learning is what fuels me, really. I just go from one newfound understanding to the next and hope it makes me better. :\
well, i have sown untidy furrows 'cross my soul,
but I am still a coward,
content to see my garden grow so sweet & full
of someone else's flowers.
