owwww. how can you pull them out yourself?
(im assuming they look like the staples you use on paper).

i can remove my own steri-strips but thats about it.

dont hurt if you do slow and proper [ie straight]
the remover is like tweezers, but the end is two bent pieces with a gap and piece on top is astraight...it goes around bottom and top of staple, there is grove where you 'drop' the staple into and then squeeze the handle closed and it bennds the middle of the saple , looks like an
"m" when its out.
they dont close tight like a regular staple...it only really hurts when they screw up and pu them too close together...then you have to take a few at a time, which doesnt fit in the groove so hurts..but other than that just a tugging feeling [but i have huigh theshold for pain so....]
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE DOING THEMSELVES
the ortho looked up my record and saw i had many many staples so he said go ahead.
i wouldnt recommend cos first time i did i...well i didnt get it right till last one....
