Safe - sore feet
I'm now a McDonalds drone (sorry, crew member)
But, I get the wonderful job of working on tills for 8 hour shifts
We have to wear sensible shoes, so I invested just less than £30 on a pair on shoes suitable for work
But, working makes my feet really really really really really sore
I now soak them in boiling water when I get in from work (well, let it cool a bit first obviously!!)
But that doesnt really take away any of the pain =/
So how do I stop them from getting really sore (like, to the point where it hurts to even stand up)
and how do I reduce teh pain once it starts?
It makes my legs sore too =(

Make sure that the shoes you are using support your feet properly, and that they are fitted properly. You may even want to go to a local athletic store and get fitted with running shoes. Many times at athletic shoe stores the staff are trained in the proper fitting of shoes.
You may also want to try and use some of those gel shoe inserts and see if they help. Eventually your body should become accustomed to being on your feet all the time and it shouldn't hurt as much.
Also ask the other employees you work with what they do to help their feet.
If it continues to get worse, and nothing you do is helping, speak with your doctor, he may have some additional ideas of what to do to help.

Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.

Go to Clark's. =)
When I first started at Superdrug, I had real problems with achy feet and legs, but it did get a lot better as time went by. I was also stuck at a till for 8 hours, so I can definitely sympathise. I have to confess to cheating and wearing trainers for a while though, but I did find sturdy shoes bought from Clarks helped a lot.
