When my grandma was young she new this girl who was with this young man who was a bit odd and she decided she needed a new pair of gloves so she proposed to him on the 29th in front of all her friends as a joke and he said yes, and so they got married instead :)

ot: it was my dads birthday yesterday (29th) so we got him a card that said "happy 12th birthday" on it, with a badge & everything.
it's not as cute as aimee's story, but it amused me & my brothers for a bit.
Bit of a tangent but.... if your birthday is the 29th do you only have a b-day once every 4 years?
