Triggering (SI) - I think I'm in deep do do! Cuts and surgeon! HELP
I have cuts alll over my arm and the other one has some but not as bad. They are just superficial. But I am seeing my surgeon as a post-op check up on the 17th march, will they have healed by then or not because she's gonna take one look at the arms if she wants to check me over (if she checks me over I have to take my top off as it's my chest she operated on) and be anoyed because it was cosmetic surgery and now I go and do this. I don't want her to be disapointed or think that the op wasn't... I dunno but she has been very nice to me and I just. Don't know what to do.
Any advice on cuts or what to say to her if she sees the marks. Hopefully the scabs will have fallen off by then.

Well, you could just tell her that you had a bad run in with a cat, if you wanted to go for comedy...
Or, if she already knows about the SI, you could just tell her that you had a bad day, that you really appreciate what she's done, and that you're trying to get better.
The seventeenth is a while off. They may heal by then, depending on how deep they are.
Don't worry too much about it.
*hugs*

Thanks Tiffany (I like the name Tiffany) yeah they are only superficial so should have healed over by the 17th. I think she's quite a nice lady and would most likely be understanding but I just dont want her to be dissapointed. Becuase I told her that I sufferd from schizophrenia and deliberate SI and she said nicely but that I have to be strong enough for this op. I assured her. And I guess I have to assure her again. Then again I could do the whole cat thing like you said, I like that idea tbh. thanks hehe.
I guess I'll just wait and see I will not do it again because I really dont want ther to be upset, she's done a lot for me.

What kind of cosmetic surgery was it, by the way? If you don't mind me asking?
Anyways, I'm glad your doing better now, but if you do have urges again, feel free to PM me, or post something. Just try and find someone you trust to calm you down.
It doesn't sound like your surgeon would be disappointed in you or anything. If she sees the cuts or they leave scars, I'm sure she'll understand.
And I like the name Alyssa. It's pretty.

It was for a deformity I was born with called Pectus Excavatum or more known by people as 'Sunken Chest'. Cartilage from 4 ribs were taken out and the sternum brought forward with a bar placed underneath to keep it in a correct place.
I am going to be putting ointment on the scars to help them heal and fade more quickly, so hope that'll work.

Hopefully...I didn't know if it was cosmetic surgery to get rid of past scars or anything, and that might explain the anger your cosmetic surgeon would have...
Anyways, I would say an ointment might help. Anything with cocoa butter, and anything made for stretch marks should work for scars as well.

I'm gonna buy some palmers cocoa butter today when I go into town and maybe some bio-oil as I've heard it's brilliant for skin problems and scars.

Lyssie, if they are still open aloe vera gel will be better than bio oil and cocoa butter
