movie tip: Lars and the real girl...
Such a great movie...I suggest you to see it if you get a chance to see it.
I would call it one of the best movies I have been seeing the last years.
The movie is a mixture of psychological drama and comedy and it is sooo sweet.
The movie is not triggering at all and the movie is a little, nice movie about relationships (family, friendship, love) and I really liked that Lars is not an outcast, although he has mental problems.
I'll try to write something about the story without telling everything.
(I know that the story might not sound that great but the movie really is...unfortunately, it did not win the Oscar it was nominated for.)
The main character of the movie- Lars- has psychological problems (autism, social phobia or something like that) (probably because of a traumatic event in his past) and because of that he has problems with connecting with other people.
One day, he introduces to others his girlfriend: a sex doll he bought online called Bianca.
His therapist/ psychiatrist diagnoses him as delusional because he believes that Bianca is real and his doc suggest to his family that they should play the game and treat Bianca as a real person.
Finally, the whole little town of Lars does so and Bianca becomes a part of the town.
