mm I like buying loads of cool buttons and stuff and sewing them onto a teeshirt.. or badges and stuff..
ahh maybe it's just me? hehe erm yeah xx
If only you'd ever speak to me
the way you once did
look at me the way you once did
pull to me the way you once did
but you don't
you don't feel anymore
you don't care anymore
it's all gone
it's all gone
^I'm agreed.
Denim shorts, sew a few funky coloured buttons onto a back pocket looks great.
Or paint on your shoes...like white keds or vans or something...
I used to paint my clothes. i made extensive stencils out of thick card and used emulsion paint to place these patterns on t-shirts jackets and jeans. I still have a denim jacket that has a wonderful set of wings painted on the back. and had quite a few people ask me where i bought it.
emulsion is the best paint because it doesn't ever wash out. acyllic is ok but most of them are water soluble. spray paint is fine, but it can be messy if you don't do it just right. emulsion paint is the best.
Don't be fooled by my smooth skin. The deepest scars are the ones unseen.

why do people think just because something is original it looks good?
Most the time it makes them look like an idiot.

If you need to crash then crash and burn YOU'RE NOT ALONE
edit - I make my own jewellery out of seed beads and crystals. Once, when I was at camp (we're talking yearssssssssss ago), we customised bandanas. It was pretty cool.

Reason: forgot to say what I do!!
i made my dads old RAF tags into a necklace and a bracelet. and i custom slash my own stuff. even if my mum does throw it out.
but i dont understand that website, guide to making your own original stuff? how can it be original if its on a website where goodness knows how many people are copying it and you edn up looking the same thus non original
But even though the stuff you are wearing is Unique, that many people think its cool and original people all end up looking the same

Have a look at craftster.org They have tutorials on there and lots of inspiration. I'm not that great at making jewelery but I've made capri sun bags before. =]

Agreed.
It's a bit of a paradox, asking a group of people how to look unique or set up 'guides' on how to change your clothes to look unique. Y'know. The word UNIQUE just doesn't fit into it. Unique means individual, one of a kind. You're hardly gonna do that following what someone else tells you or looking at a website millions of other people look at to look alternative.
If you wanna look original, think it up.
for real, what Douglass said.
this whole cutting up clothes, sowing them back together again, wearing a thousand badges, blah blah blah. so unoriginal.

i think its nice to get a bit creative. who cares if its not 100% unique, if someone wants something different then go 4 it - if several people do the same thing its still loads less than say the whole country wearing ugg type boots or something! having something funky can be fun. why bash ple for wanting to try it??
Agreed.

So, what your saying is, Monet, Van Gogh, Edvard Munch, never studied anyone else idea before they came up with their own?
Oh...ok!
Dicky!
PS
Why did I just choose Expressionistic painters?
