When you say "indie" what sort of indie do you want?
NME style Indie,or real, GOOD, original indie?
British, American?
Not at all bothered?
Ummm, personally? I'd go for stuff like The Smith, New Order maybe? The Shins possibly? Sonic Youth (<3).
Totally depends on what you think indie is?

Maybe the music I want isn't Indie at all then. I listen to all sorts just after new stuff really. I'll have a look in a shop I think. Morrisey is pretty good though :)
Wow, I'm surprised that anyone can class that in any genre but pop, but there we go.
Genres are often funny things, and tend to vary. So perhaps try out some of the bands in this thread, and others you hear talk of, and see what you like. Y'know, myspace & youtube are useful when it comes to that sort of thing. x
Jeez, people! Syrup is just asking for you to recommend some music, which has a vaguely 'indie' sound. Who the hell cares whether it's new indie or old or sounds a bit too rocky or poppy or whatever to be technically classed as indie?! This is so silly! Music doesn't fit into nice slots like that.
