Can you help me please?

I work for Mosaic Films, which made the award-winning series of documentaries, Animated Minds.

We have been commissioned to make a series of short documentaries which explore some of the challenges that young people face today. This will include films which focus on the specific issues of depression, self-harm, anxiety disorders and eating disorders.

The purpose of this series is to promote better understanding of the issues and conditions it explores; break through misconceptions and stigma;and enable young people who are affected by these issues to speak more openly about their experiences.

The series will be broadcast first on Teachers TV, and then distributed in a range of health, education and community settings.

For my research I really need to speak to young people aged 13-18, living in the UK, who have been affected by depression, self-harm, eating- or anxiety disorders to find out more about your thoughts and experiences.

At this point I am researching - rather than interviewing for - the documentary. I will be sensitive and respectful in our discussions. Anything said will be held in the strictest confidence, and there is no obligation to answer any questions if you do not want to.
