cannabis/antidepressant advice

Is it safe to smoke cannabis whilst taking antidepressants??

Hi. I still smoke it even though I'm on ADs and it doesn't seem to have any extra side effects and I don't become any more stoned than I used to.
Obviously though, some people say that cannabis is probably linked with mental health problems (such as developing schizophrenia later in life) and really shouldn't be smoked by people who are already suffering from problems. Especially depression, as it can act as a depressant and make you feel even worse.

i dont take my medication on the day i do drugs. its isnt really safe to be honest.. but yeh. Also like zowie said, drugs can trigger mental illnesses and make current ones worse

Ha, we are suffering a bit of a drugs shortage round here as well.

But anyway, weed doesn't seem to interact with my antidepressant at all (I'm on fluoxetine).
But if you're prone to paranoia then it isn't a good idea. x

Thanks for your replies. Just wondered incase it caused any really weird side effects. I use to smoke it all the time but havent used it since ive been on my med's.
