Triggering (SI/ED) - "Why are you so depressed?"

I HATE it when people (mainly my dad[well, when i lived at home a few years ago] and my boyfriend).

Last night I went shopping with my boyfriend... Everything was either too tight or way huge. I just feel like never eating again... oh, did I mention we went out to eat after? JEEZE!

I got home and really just wanted to puke. I was so angry towards him because the things that I did buy I think are hideous now... I'll probably end up taking them back this weekend.

I haven't cut in well... I dunno "a while". But I just wanted to bust it out right then and there. The only thing that stopped me was that my boyfriend stayed at my place last night.

So, we were laying in bed and he goes, "Why are you so depressed? Tell me." I was like... are you serious? Yes, let me just tell you or draw you a picture or a diagram. GAWEEEEDDD...

*sigh*

Men can be clueless. My husband wants me to dress more feminine. Then when I wear a nice pair of shoes I have to remind him about six times to slow down, girly shoes don't allow the same kind of walking that athletic shoes do.

So much of the clothing out there is junk. I once read a survey geared towards plus size women and one of the questions was "when you go shopping do you come home without buying anything because you don't like how you look when you try it on?" For me the answer was yes not because I'm fat but because there is so much ugly junk out there.

It is okay to be frustrated and depressed. Return the clothes. Then keep looking. This is a bad time of year to get clothing anyway. I start hunting for my summer stuff around the mid to end of February.

Hugs!

My husband is my best friend.

In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.

I dont particulary think its a 'man thing' if someone has never been depressed then they arent going to know what youre going through.Maybe hes trying his best to understand so that he can help and if he tried to help with no clue he would probably end up doing the wrong thing. At least your bf doesnt pretend your depression doesnt exist.

Why are you angry at him because of what you bought?its not his fault...

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
