Triggering (SI/OD) - Crisis team...
I've just been put back under the crisis team today because i'm not coping well at the moment and i'm really finding it hard not to od. i'm thinking about it all the time but i'm scared it won't work and i'll end up in hospital again - which i really don't want! i'm also cutting quite badly and don't feel like i've got any control over it right now
my problem is that i feel like they are reluctantly helping me, the guy who did the assessment said he wasn't sure what they could do for me and i was left feeling like they thought i was being a bit of a pain. has anyone else experienced this? i'm supposed to phone them over the weekend if i feel unsafe but i'm not sure if i can now.

i saw a crisis team today.
fortunately the woman i saw didnt make me feel like a pain.
if u feel unsafe though please do call them...the chances are you wont have to talk to that same man again. perhaps talking ove the phone could be easier as well.
i have been the same with you when it comes to the idea of an OD...im very afraid of it not working again and i expressed this concern as everytime before i have tried i have never succeeded.
we both know though that suicide is not the answer so please please talk to the crisis team if you feel this way or contact me. take care
love michelle

I too had a crisis team, in the end I said they were crap to their faces. They kept letting me down and were useless.
They soon got out when they said they were crap. hehehehehe

If you feel badly then you should phone them, chances are it wont be the same person and at least you will have somebody talk to or if you feel like getting some things off your chest you can talk to the samaritans. Sometimes its just nice to know there is someone there who will actually listen to.
I know things may seem really negative right now but there is a way out and that isn't suicide. Overdoses can do some really nasty stuff to your insides the more that you take. I know you already know this but please take care. There are people that care for you x

Thanks for your support, i'm really trying to use their help. it's hard when i'm told all the time to ask for help then when i do i'm told there's nothing anyone can do. its so frustrating just feel like giving up.

Hold on there, please if you feel unsafe then ring them. I know in my experience I have found some of them rude and not helpful at all but then i have had some ones that have been alright. Chances are you won't talk to him when you ring up anyways. PM me if you need anything

i know exactly how you feel! my therapist and gp tell me i need some extra help and refer me to the crisis team who say they're not sure how they can help. i truly don't understand how anyone thinks the system is supposed to work. i don't know what services are available, i thought that would be what they would know. i find it soooo confusing and the fact that everytime i go i see someone different is just rediculous. i hope you have more luck that i have had and find a way to work with them, but the whole system has left me completely lost. good luck xx

I know what you mean about seeing someone different every time! How are you supposed to open up to someone you have just met, it doesn't make sense to me. In the end they were actually quite good with me, they did try to limit the amount of different people i saw and agreed to me seeing only female workers, they also made an effort to take me out for coffee etc which i thought was pretty good.
I ended up in hospital in the end becausethey felt they couldn't help me at home but i think my experience didn't turn out as bad as some others have had.
