I know its not easy...but stay strong and I'm sure you will be able to do this...detoxing was never going to be easy...and the added stress of new places and people doesnt help either i understand that. Just keep remembering that your doing this to get better. The more you tell yourself that am sure it will get easier.No-one is forcing you to go..your doing this because u know you need to which is one big step in itself..
Stay strong hunny..theres always help for u here..msg me if u need someone to talk to im always around..

I think its really brave and positive of you to have tried it...and me thinks have a talk with a staff person about alternatives. Could you go in for the day, to ease yourself in instead of being thrown in at the deep end? Could they introduce you to people there to make you feel more comfortable? Would you be allowed to take something small but comforting with you to make you feel safer (like a cushion or wee stone or picture or something?) Hun, there are options, and I'm not letting you give up so quickly! Ever heard of "feel the fear and do it anyway"?
I have faith in you, I haven't been online in a wee while but I mind seeing your posts here. Detox is such a brave and big step. I know its worth a try.
Take care and let us know how you get on!

AA labels even anti depressants as 'addictive' and they're NOT medical based so my suggestion is: talk to a real dr.

You can do it without the meds;it just won't be easy.I've done it a number of times and survived. The first couple of days will be rough but when you start getting to know the other people there it gets alot better.
Even if you are not good with new people, being in detox and/or rehab is a different experience.you will start to relate to these people in ways you didn't think possible. That's not to say that you will like them all, just that you'll understand each other.
Just give it a week.If things aren't better by then You can always leave.Hang in there and congrats on even giving it a try!
