I know we have all the trigger/ed/abuse etc that is required but wouldn't it be helpful to add additional labels that indicate what kind of work it is? Personally I'm more of a visual person and prefer to look at someone's art work rather than poems/stories and opening every single thread just to check what is what seems daunting. It's not a major thing but would be helpful. Dunno if anyone feels this could be of some use?
That annoys me to Maja, and is half the reason I don't go in the CC any more. If it wasn't put as a lable, perhaps a thread in there asking people to indiciate the type of work in their title would work...?
We could have labels that reflect those sections that are in CC on the main site as it were (the main site and forum aren't really seperate anymore)
So Poetry, artwork, photography and short story/prose ?
The other advantage of that is that with RYL v3's spazzy search tools, you could do a search for all threads containing a certain type of creative work, as well as plenty more besides.
So yeah, I think it would be a good idea - well done
Just to let you guys know, the mods are now discussing this idea with Harley to see whether this will be workable from an admin/moderation perspective.

In addition to Chel's "music" suggestion to be added, I also thought we might need a label such as "computer art work", or some better name to include those sorts of photoshopped images that some people design.
.... or would that be included in "photography" or "artwork"?
I'm still concerned about the fact that Waimee and Chels brought up, in that these labels that let people know what sort of Creative work is being posted, will stop people from using the trigger labels, seeing as you can only choose one label to go in the label spot.
Harley suggested on the mod version of this thread, that perhaps a system could be worked out using the thread icons available, and that a thread icon can represent a type of creative work, such as -
Looks like a good idea.
With the icons & labels etc.
Yes.
