Triggering subjects.

Hi there :)
I was just wondering.....when writing a new thread theres a choice of different triggering subjects like EDs etc and I was wondering if there was any chance of getting a drugs one put on? i hope i made that clear :D

Well, it was my understanding that to prevent RYL from being filled with labels and too 'cotton wooly' that we would ease back on the self harm trigger labels in self harm forums, and ED labels in the ED forum etc - because people would expect threads of a drug related nature to be in the drugs forum.

However those of us who wanted that did lose out and SI forums do have SI labels, and the ED forum does have ED labels, so while I am not 100% personally convinced it is required I would be very happy to include this, perhaps we should have a poll in that forum?

I thought of that too, Harley. That having it in a forum where drugs were expected might be over-kill, but then, we do have labels all through Abuse, ED, SID, etc.

Thank you for replying :) As someone who finds some aspects of RYL a bit cotoon wooly I understand what you mean when you say that it might be an overkill.However there are ED trigger warnings on the ED board etc and although it may be obvious which threads are about substance abuse sometimes the trigger warning can be a deterent to not go into a thread. Ive put a poll up in the SA board so Ill wait and see what other people say :p it had just been on my mind for a while now and i wanted to see if it was a good idea :)

and annihilate_me an overdose label does cover substance abuse really.

Perhaps it worth considering, also, for Ranting / Venting Forum - as this forum isn't instantly expected to have posts relating to drugs, alcohol, what have you, but very well could contain them.
