Hey I have BPD too. Originally I didn't care who knew, but when I went back to schoo lafter being ip for a long time I tried to hide it and it was very stressful. I've told a fwe people I have mental health problems and some of them bpd and to be honest most of them have been through mh problems themselves which I didn't know about. I mean, there are elements of bpd that everyone can relate too, feeling angry, havign mood swings, being scared of abandonment, these are normal things, but we [people with bpd] just have it a lot more severely and chronically compared 'normal' people. If you explained it in these terms they might understand better. Most of my friends have no clue what bpd means but are ok with it. If they're not nice to you about it chances are they're not worth knowing.
