From what I know a teacher wouldn't have to tell anyone else what you told them legally but they might feel obliged to if they thought you needed help from someone like the school nurse/counsellor.
Good luck.

a teacher found out i was, and they notified the counselor at school and then they notified my mom. thats what happened to me. but thats in america. i would think they have to tell because self injury is a danger to yourself. but i dont know. good luck! keep us posted.

In the UK I think that law applies to you in schools if you are under 16? I could be wrong. Mind you last year I did a mentoring course to help year 7's and we got told the confidentiality laws like that apply to under 16's.

A teacher has a duty of care towards you as a student. Are you at a school or a college, because generally at college your tutor/teacher won't be obligated to tell your parents anything because you're in further education, not school.
