Yes I know it's something I need to decide for myself.
Rahrahrah. I'd just like some advice on what other people think.
You don't have to read this, feel free to just click a uni option.
You don't have to know the uni, just, based on any preconceptions which one? It can even be based on what has the best name.
-------
I have offers of ABB, BBB, BBC, BCC and CCC.
So working my way down. Grand.
Anyway, i've ruled out ABB. Because I doubt I could get that.
But i'm stuck on whether to try and aim for BBB [OxfordBrookes] because I liked the uni...Or stick to being safe and putting down my BCC [Hull] and CCC [NottinghamTrent]. I also liked the look of the BCC uni though so it's not a case of settling for second best.
I just can't decide.
[I'm using the CCC as my back up I think]
Though technically I could try for BBB and put the BBC as my back up...But that's unlikely.
So...help?

"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."
Nott's Trent is a really good Uni for things like sport...law...business. I'm not so sure how it rates for Sci's tho.
I live close to it and after A-level thats the sort of things most of my friends took there. Also I looked into it for Law for my gf and it came up great.
Maybe just aim for the highest grades then have a range of choice for were you feel most comfortable?

I go to Nottingham uni and have a fair few friends who go to Trent. It's a nice uni, has good facilities and a good reputation. The Students Union is also better than ours! Despite its bad rep Nottingham is a good city to study in I think, and party in, the night life is fantastic.
You dont mention what course your doing, the only thing to bear in mind is that a fair few science courses are based at their clifton campus, which is a bit of a skankhole. Animal ones are based at Brackenhurst, which while lovely is a long way from anywhere, which is not for everyone

Thankyou for these replies, they're really useful x

i visited hull when i was looking around and i thought it was nice, the only reason i didnt go there was because i wanted to live at home. i dont know what the place is like though. although if its got a big student area it doesnt really matter about the actual city.
My sister applied at Hull. the university itself is really nice and really good but there isn't really a lot there in terms of the town. The halls of residence are off campus too and not so convenient as other unis. Nottingham Trent is close to me, so you should go there and i know a few other people that go there and like it. I don't know anything about Oxford Brookes.
im just going to add a point, just because a uni says it wants BBB or BBC and you dont get the grades it wants you can still be accepted. The uni wants all there people on it course (becasue of money) so will do thier best to get you on it.
I didnt get all the grades and got in, my friend didnt either and went to summer school.
it might be wise calling up the unis and seeing what they do if you dont get all the grades.

well ive heard good stuff about them all! my mum went to oxford brookes, and i have friends at hull and nottingham trent. as i lived near notts for 9years, i can say that its a good student-y place, espesh as there is the other uni and lots of colleges and stuff around.
another thing- don't feel like you have to limit yourself.i didn't think i could get the grades i needed to get into leeds, but i did and i dont regret my decision to :D
my friend didn't quite get her grades but she's got a defered entry to york in educational studies!
good luck with it all :) x
Ox Brookes - if you like the uni, what's the problem with aiming for the best? It's got a good reputation, fab location (and I'm not biased at all because I come from Oxford), plus, you get to tell people that you go to Oxford :P
If it was me I'd go for BBB as my firm and the CCC as the back up.
But that's just me.
Oh dear I don't think that helped.
Um.
*juggles for you*
Good luck with it anyways =)
The only time you will find real light is when you're searching in the dark..
You've got to go for where you like best!! Don't worry about grades at the moment, make your choice and it'll give you a reason to work harder than you might have done otherwise (it did for me anyways).
Being biased though, Hull all the way (It's where I'm from) and I imagine nights out, from my experience will be soooooo much better up north!!!
Anyways I'm sure you'll be happy wherever you go

I goto Uni in Nottingham but...not at any of the Universities. It's a complecated matter.
But my ex girlfriend goes to Nottingham trent, looks like she having a brilliant time, and the facilites are pretty awesome. Makes me wish i didn't stay at home, so hence, I'm hopefully moving to Nottingham early next year, woo!
Seriously though, go for the university you think is best for you and where you think your going to enjoy it most. Because trust me, you will!
