periods *sigh*

ok so i'm 19, had my peirod since i was 12 or 13 cant remember...dont care to honest with you...and i hate them. every single month i get so low. i'm on right now and i feel so down its not even funny. low as in i dont want to go out. i dont want to eat or drink. i dont want to speak or do anything at all. i just want to sit here infront of the computer until its over. then i stress about next month. and it goes on and on. actually when i'm not on i'mok...i still get down sometimes but when i do come on i go so low its scary
i dunno what i'm posting here for...i guess i'm asking if theres a way i could somehow make my period kinda hurry the hell up and finish for this month. i'm on my third day...i know i only have about 4 or 5 more to go but that seems like forever to me right now and i dont think i can do it.
god it sounds so stupid...i actually feel bad for posting because its such a stupid thing to post about...there are people who have real issues, issuse that are worthy of being put here.
i just feel really low and i cant stop crying it just feels like i'm drowning and i need to get away from it i really do.
is there any way i could make it end quicker?

I've got an inferiority complex. But it's not a very good one.

hey, period suck, i used to have really bad pain with mine and they used to like last forever and were heavy and yucky.

anyway, my point, you could go to your GP and ell them how problematic they are. i did, and they could give you medication which would make them less painful and last less long. or you could go on the pill or mini pill or something. something you could talk to your GP about.

Also, have you tried any supplements? like evening primrose oil and stuff? or any herbal remedies? you could go to your local pharmacy and ask them about it, or you could ask to have a quiet word with the pharmacist and see what they suggest.

im sorry, i don't know what else to suggest.
hopefully you'll find a solution, but i do recommend going to speak to your GP.
take care
stay safe

Ew, periods. Worst thing ever. Nearly. Not quite.
I'd suggest going to your doctors, as they could surely prescribe you something to help. Good luck!

Hey, don't feel bad for posting. If it's making you feel bad, then you have every right to post.

I don't really know what to suggest other then to go to your doctors, because i'm sure there is something they'll be able to prescribe that'll help with the low moods during them.

I hope you get something sorted soon

pms'ing women unite!
seriously, i know what you mean. i always see those commercials on tv 'do you get really depressed when you're pms'ing?' and i sit there and nod. you can make it through.
you should really think about going to the doctor though. they have new birth control that will virtually stop your period. i can't remember the exact name of it, but google it i'm sure you'll find it. good luck!

I feel the exact same way when i'm on.
Are you on the pill or anything?
I'm going to the drs soon to discuss it because i really can't cope with it anymore!
I think you should too, don't just put up with it.

Hmn, perhaps this condition isn't so widely known as i thought, but whilst normal PMS is a pain, there's a possibility you have PMDD (Pre-Menstrual Dysmorphic Disorder). Maybe check that out??

Just like physical discomfort during your period, there is a range of what is considered 'normal' and what isn't. If your mood swings and depression are so sever that they are limiting your ability to live your life and do what you want to do, I think that seeing your doctor would be your best option. Some discomfort, and a slight change in moods is normal. What you are describing is not, and you **do not** need to suffer through.

It does sound like PMDD to me, but of course I'm not a doctor and more importantly, I'm not your doctor. However, it is worth looking into and mentioning when you go in to see your GP or OB/GYN. There are a number of things that can be done to minimize the symptoms you're experiencing, from changes in diet and exercise to various forms of hormonal birth control, particularly some variety of the birth control pill. Your doctor can better advise you once he or she knows your symptoms.

Just remember, you do not need to just carry on being miserable for those days each month. Your period is a normal function and shouldn't interfere with life - and if it does, there are things that can be done to help! Take care of yourself, good luck, and I do hope you feel better soon.

Never feel bad for posting. If something is bothering you, tell us. It doesn't matter how unimportant it may seem. It's important to you, that's all that matters.
Maybe you should get it checked out by a doctor. Couldn't hurt, especially since they affect you that much.

Hmmm, since I've been on birth control, my moods have been slightly more stabilized and my period seems to be slightly shorter. Maybe talk to your gynecologist about it, they might have a solution
