But I've been abvsent from this place for a a coupl'a days....and why?
Well, I though I had something in my eye, Friday night, but couldn't get it out.
By Saturday, it was sore and swollen.
By Sunday it was worse.
So I went to the emergency GP...who called in the Eye doctor from home.....who told me I had Orbital Cellulitus!
So basically this week I've been taking lots of codeine and stronggggggg antibiotics and anti-inflamatories and ointment and eye drops and parcetamol....in between various shots of iodene and numbing drops....plus some random dye they injected into me before making me have a CT scan!
Basically, I'm in pain, feeling nauseous, although on the mend....and basically looking for a bit of sympathy :P
Would have posted sooner, but visions only just recovered well enough for internet time ^_^
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."
If only you'd ever speak to me
the way you once did
look at me the way you once did
pull to me the way you once did
but you don't
you don't feel anymore
you don't care anymore
it's all gone
it's all gone
The last time I had an eye infection, I got an eye patch. It was the coolest thing ever. Hope your eye feels better soon!
"When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.”
Hope you get better very soon. Meantimes be gentle with yourself.
XX
Eye pain is HORRIBLE!
Absolutely horrible!
But codeine is my friend =]
And also, I was very nearly kept in hospital, but as my parents are both nurses they let me off and prescribed me a 10 day course of antio-biotics they described as "bleach."
Thank you for all the pokes and cuddles....I think...
orbital normally means your in hospital being monitored constantly as its potentially fatal i thought
basically its an infection to part of the eye
can cause blindness and death left un treated or not treated properly
Also, this is true, basically it's swelling and infection behind the eyeball.
So like, my eye, at the worst part, was swelled almost shut, protruding and very bloodshot.
How nice =]
