As we wear our mask that grins and lies
That hides our cheeks and shades our eyes
We paint on our smile and
Struggle through the miles
As we wear our mask
We smile but Lord hear our cries
Along with all the tears and sighs
Can't take anymore rejection
So I carry on in this direction
As we wear our mask
Underneath we think it's vile
Can't let you see this
Hence the smile
Cheery eyes hide the lies
As we wear our mask
WAIT! STOP! I'm asked
Please complete this simple task
Stop the lies, you should be claiming your prize
Let us see inside
Remove the mask put it aside
Stand and Arise
As you take off your mask
Now without our mask
We see it's not so vile
Yes there we go it's a proper smile
Throw that mask away
The real you is here to stay
As we carry on
