Last night I could hear a voice while I was in bed.
I couldn't sleep because I could see The Statue, and when I did sleep I woke myself up by punching the wall.
I had my eyes closed and I was hiding under the blanket from the statue when I heard a female voice. what she said didn't really make any sense, but she sounded very close, like she was under the blankets with me. It scared the **** out of me, and I sat upright thinking that I needed to get out of the bed and away from her.
This woke up my boyfriend, so I felt safer with him helping me go to sleep, but I didn't mention the voice.
I'm scared, I wouldn't think anything of it but I'm worried there's something wrong with me. It could just be my mind playing tricks on me as I drift off, but I felt very awake and I'm obviously already ****ed up since I'm seeing The Statue all the ****ing time.
Help?

Reason: update
I'm sorry that you're going through all this at the moment, hugs.
I would suggest that you go and see a doctor or talk to therapist about these unusual things that are happening to you. Are you seeing anyone that could help you? Hearing voices can be very scary, it's not unusual though and it can be treated. Try not to panic about it. Like you say, it could just have been because you were drifting off to sleep and were inbetween dreaming and being awake. It could also be because you were feeling really stressed at the time, or perhaps you hadn't got enough sleep for a while, there are a number of factors to think about.
Thanks Hammy.
I'm seeing my care-worker on Thursday, and should have an appointment with my psych. in a couple of weeks. I don't know if it's worth mentioning; they know about The Statue and I'm being put on better ADs and if they don't make it go away they might want to try anti-psychotics.
Hopefully I'm not loosing it as much as I think, I just feel so horrible and lost right now.

I would enquire as to what this voice was about. Understanding them can really help them feel a bit safer.
I heard voices when I was very depressed and was doing lots of meditation. I see now that it was self hatred and self annihilation thoughts as a result of depression, stress and isolation, but at the time it terrified me as it felt like disconnected from me. But basically I'd disconnected myself from a shedload of difficult unconscious material, my shadow side. Which I am now safely facing in therapy.
Sorry for the ramble, I just thought it might help add some different perspective. :)
Hello, it has happened again but I didn't want to make a new post.
I didn't tell anyone about that time (above) when I heard a voice and now I'm scared and don't know what to do.
This morning my boyfriend left for work and I lay in bed for a while. I was wondering what to do (he found out last night that I injured myself again) and feeling really ****ed up when I felt someone hug me. There was a girl in my bed, she was bald and she was hugging me and whispering to me and she started to...touch me when I told her to go away. I didn't like her, she scared me. I could hear footsteps after she left and I hid under the covers and wouldn't look but I could hear someone walking around the room saying horrible things to me.
I know she wasn't real but I could actually feel her. Hugging me, her breath on my ear and she was so angry when she was stomping around my room.
Was she a ghost? I mean...people only hear voices when they're mentally ill, they don't ****ing see and feel people.
I'm so scared. I'm alone tonight and I don't want her to come back.
it could be soemthing called night terrors a lot of people get it when theyre going to sleep at night. Please talk to someone about it it can b e treated but ike i said it soundslike night terrors. I hear a voice and i know how scary it is so i hope your okay and take care. x
I don't know what it was, i don't know if she was a ghost. It is also possible to have visual and tactile hallucinations as well as auditory ones, due to illness. I'm not saying that's what it is but it is a possibility.
It sounds like you are extremely frightened and i know i would be! I've had visual and auditory hallucinations in the passed and found them very frightening and disturbing. I really think you need to tell someone now that it has happened again. A professional really needs to look into what's going on for you and why this is happening.
I don't really know what else to suggest over the internet. Please tell someone, i hope you can do it.
If it is really bothering you and happening again at night you can even take yourself to a&e and see the psych liason and see if they can help you.

Thank you.
I'm holding onto the hope that it was a night-terror as Shelley suggested, but even if it was it was still horrible. I'm finding it hard to believe that it would be though as I've been experiencing psychotic features (seeing The Statue) because of depression.
I'm scared. I'm alone tonight, if it happens again I don't know how I'll cope. I don't think I want to go to a&e if it does, in case they either do nothing (ie. just make me sit around feeling anxious and panicky) or do too much (hospitalise me).
I'd tell my key worker but I'm not seeing her until January (I'm staying with my family, far away from where I live and where my GP and mental health house is).
I felt really tempted to take an OD earlier just so that I wouldn't have to see The Statue anymore, or fear seeing the girl again.
I used to get night terrors, I would have men coming into my room at night, people sitting at the edge of my bed. At first it was frightening, but once I realised they weren't real I just started to ignore them and they went away after a while!
