Awwww. i know how awful a broken laptop is, i only recently got mine back. im afraid that you might not get it sorted, they thought i had dropped mine and didnt see how it could be mended. thankfully it was my memory chip so i got a new one and didnt need a new computer.
anyway, i hope you manage to get your laptop sorted. you might be able to speed up a download by closing other programs and adjusting your virus protection software. good luck
