Wrongfully under section 2?

I’m in hospital under a section 2, after a 5(2). But I don’t feel all that depressed, I’m just risky and I suppose that’s why.

Pressed send too early.

Just waiting for my lithium to restart, they won’t say how long it’ll be, I know a S2 is 28 days max.

Hello,

How’s you today? Have they read you your rights that 1) you have the right to appea your section 2) your nearest relative can write a letter to discharge you from your section 3) you have the right to a advocate and solicitor.

Yes the social worker called my husband and they’re getting me a solicitor. But there’s never any point appealing is there. I told work I’d be out by Monday!

Oh dear. I'm sorry you are on section. It sounds like if your husband has agreed that it is a good idea though, that it might be possible you aren't seeing things super clearly? I don't know that it's the case, but do you normally trust your husband's judgement of things?

Do you what to talk about some specifics of what is going on? I hope you can get the support you need and get home quickly, but I also hope you are safe.

Just an update- I’ve spent a lot of my time here on level 2 (1:1) and my section runs out on Friday so I’m now waiting for another MHA assessment to put me on a level 3, and don’t know what time it’ll be.

I’m really hating it. It’s like being in prison except all your inmates have severe mental illnesses.

I’m on a level 2 now so I doubt they’ll let me self discharge or have overnight leave. I’ve spent so long on L2 I’ll find it strange not having someone with me all the time when I come off it. But being able to go to the toilet, shower and use sanitary products without being watched will be nice!

I'm sorry to hear that. Have they told you what types of things might have to change for you to get off 1:1 and get some leave to eventually be able to go home?

How are things? Have they communicated what would have to change for you to be considered safe to leave?
