Scarring and weight loss

I have a scar on my forearm.

Does anyone know how a scar like this might react to significant weight loss?

I have been able to find some resources for my other scars saying they'll probably move "whereabouts " on my body by a few centimeters. This circumferential burn though, I can't seem to find anything other than the surgery you get *after * the weight loss to get rid of skin.

I bought some cocoa butter made for pregnant women to hopefully help with the whole loose skin and stretch marks thing.

Does anyone have experience with any weight loss and how their scars reacted?

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question, but I wonder if it's worth asking a professional as I imagine it's likely to depend on exactly where the scar is and how big it is, which are details you can't give on here.

Hi, I don't have experience of circumferential scarring but I have lost a significant amount of weight and this had very little effect on my forearms. On areas of my body where there is more change I have some excess skin and the scars don't really change shape or size but sit more loosely in these areas so you might see a little wrinkling or looseness around the edge of the scar as the scar tissue is 'tighter' if that makes any sense at all...
