Positive Post - My voices

A while ago I agreed (along with my psych and cpn) to try an increased dose of medication. I can't remember the exact date but according to my r/v I was on it in September 2015. It worked well that I only heard voices for approximately twenty minutes a day, in the morning. The only exception was that if I got stressed then they would increase but even then it wasn't 24/7.

Idk why but it has decreased since the beginning of the year to fifteen minutes a day. I haven't changed much since this time last year except for going to bed an hour early. In fact I have had extra stress in January; firstly my depot was 2 weeks late; my cpn continued to be off sick and my replacement nurse went on holiday leaving me with no support from the cmht and a complete stranger doing my depot.

I am not cured of schizophrenia as I suffer from other aspects of the disease such as paranoia and delusions around foreign people. I saw my psych in December and he said that he didn't want to change my medication.

I'm glad the voices have decreased. How do you feel about not changing your meds?

I actually am quite happy tamobhuuta. I think that the current medication is the best that I have been on and I gain very little on my current dose so I don't want to change it for fear of rocking the boat. I am not on the maximum dose. I don't go to bed early but I am guessing that if I went to bed at a reasonable time that my voices would decrease further.

That's really positive. Could you try going to bed earlier?

I am trying but I find that if I go to bed early then I wake up in the night. Whereas going to bed late I sleep through the night. I am going earlier compared to this time last year.
