Christmas bombardment in November

So Halloween is over and, alas, we are now being bombarded by Christmas, Christmas, Christmas.

How do you guys feel about it. Are you excited for the coming time of year or are the Grinch like me?

Although might be going to a christmas market for the first time ever. It's in December though so more acceptable

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

December is the only acceptable month for Christmas shizz, NOT October.
I thought I was going to burst into flames when I saw the Christmas cards before Halloween.

I like Christmas but it's too early. I like to feel 'Christmassy' but usually by the time we get to actual Christmas is like... Is it over yet?

Am being a bit of a hypocrite because I started online Christmas shopping in August for financial/distraction reasons but that's not all tinsel and *cringe* Christmas songs. Last week of November would probably be ideal for me for getting into the festive spirit (or getting into the festive spirits... lol).

I don't think anyone is being bombarded with "Christmas" per se. I think people are being sauteed in "Christmas marketing" - a subtle yet important distinction. For a lot of businesses, Christmas is the make or break time for the whole year. Christmas sales, Christmas music, Christmas shows, toys, trips, food, Black Friday - its a marketing season

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's my favourite time of the year, and I'm extra excited this year as I'm back doing music for the first time in 4/5 years so there will be lots of carols involved =D
For me it's never too early to start listening to carols and preparing, but I know some people really don't like it though and it must be awful to see it everywhere, so shops etc should probably try to cool it a bit with the decorations and Christmas items until the end of November!

No other sadness in the world would do

But saying that I have creme eggs on my birthday and that's an easter chocolate.

I think before Halloween is to early. November is still a bit early and I will be fed up of Christmas music etc by the time it is actually Christmas. I remember my dads friend used to send his Christmas cards at the end of October so we received them early November haha.

It's when the Easter eggs are on the shelfs in January aswell which annoys me but I have been eating mince pies for the past month so..can't really complain

I've started singing Christmas songs at work and stuff and my residents are loving it :P

I'm working Christmas this year and I'm actually really excited for it. I work in a care home so I wanna make the whole festive period wonderful.

Aww that's actually really sweet to hear.
I'm looking forward to seeing how enthusiastic the students get about Christmas. Perhaps if they are very enthusiastic some of it might rub off on me!

well i crakced and had my first mulled win last night, and bought mince pies today

I have also already bought GFs main presents, but they were kind of necessary to get early i.e. a winter coat that she can have early because she gets cold.
- but i don't think that counts per se

on the mulled wine front though - nothing can stop me now. I'm drinking it till january!!

I went to the garden centre and bought a Christmas cookie tealights, and a battery operated Christmas tree. My mum bought me a Christmas themed tealight holder.

I am listening to Silent Night on my ipod right now.

I think so too. Let's give our full attention to Halloween first! One of my colleagues wore a Christmas jumper to work the other day by accident (apparently it was the only one she had - likely story, is it Christmas every day in her house? ) and got mercilessly ribbed for it. She got nicknamed CJ for the whole shift!

If the Christmas spirit feels like it's getting earlier there is more time for Costa festive drinks!
But we do need more up-to-date Christmas songs though right? One of the major downsides of Christmas for me is that suddenly the same five or six songs get played everywhere.

We should do an RYL Christmas song!

Christmas jumpers are life though. I bought a third the other day (in my defence it had a penguin on it).

I saw a gorgeous penguin jumper in Peacocks, didn't come in my size though :(

Woke up at 4.45 this morning and have started Christmas shopping. I must be ill or something.
