Me...& My Mental Illness - documentary

I have noticed that next Tuesday at 10 pm on Channel 5 there's going to be a mh documentary. It says that it's going to be a film about depression, bipolar, ptsd, bpd and people who hear voices. Should be worth a watch though it may be triggering.

According to my programme guide it's part of channel 5's mh season so there might be more mh related programmes.

Yes they had one called "me and my eating disorder" this week. Was pretty good actually. It's a series of interviews.

I actually quite liked me and my eating disorder. And how it wasn't just teenagers covered

I can't wait to watch it tonight :)

Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or stolen something when you have the cash? Have you ever been blue? Or thought your train moving while sitting still? Maybe I was just crazy. Maybe it was the 60's. Or maybe I was just a girl... interrupted.
I know what it's like to want to die. How it hurts to smile. How you try to fit in but you can't. How you hurt yourself on the outside to try to kill the thing on the inside. I tried groups, didn't work out just made my depression a lot worse.

I thought it was very well done. A balance of opinions too- with those happy to take medication and the woman who was against it. I guess my only criticism would be that whenever hospital was mentioned it was described as awful, which could put people off seeking help.

I thought it was well done too. When I first became ill a lot of the symptoms applied to me that was discussed on the programme. I really connected with the programme and didn't find it triggering. My only negative point is that it was on so late - it really should have been on earlier.
