Flupentixol

Hi,
I've been prescribed by GP flupentixol for anxiety. I was reading up on it as I've never heard of it before and it seems such a heavy drug. I know it's prn and not to exceed the dose she has prescribed but it was a way to get me of diazepam. Just wondered what people's experiences are with it.

Thanks x

I had it whilst I was IP and it gave me permanent pins and needles. But I had it twice a day not prn. I was supposed to take it for a month after discharge but I hated the pins and needles effect so much that I didn't bother (I am on a depot so it wasn't like I was going totally medication free) & put it on my advance directive that I didn't want it again.

So for me it was a complete and utter nightmare but don't let my experience put you off trying it.
