Due To Anxiety.
I had My SW actually Come and show today.
And
I secretly recorded the whole meeting in audio.
He does not know nor did he consent.

Legally I'm not sure, but from my research I think it might be OK, providing you don't do anything illegal with the recording. On a moral level, I personally feel uncomfortable with the idea unless it was for the purpose of getting evidence of lawbreaking on the part of your social worker and don't think it's very respectful. I would be quite hurt if I found out that someone had recorded me without my knowledge or consent, in either a personal or a private capacity.
In theory: legally it's fine without consent provided you do not play that recording to a third party. It can be used to then transcribe it, which can then be shown to a third party.
However, I imagine it might worry your SW to know he was being recorded without his knowledge - imagine how you might feel if it was the other way round. I wonder what made you feel like it?
It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go.
No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do.
We won't all be here this time next year,
so while you can take a picture of us.
We're definitely going to hell,
but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
No I am and everyone is being treated like Horse plop by our CMHT because they have been massively understaffed and no Psych wants to work so rurally , Next Monday I am Meeting me 7th Locum in a row.
I have been in contact with my MH Advocate. My Parents are writing to the Health Board , AM ( Welsh Assembly Member )and MP , I am not putting up with this anymore . there are like 300 people who need hospital treatment and 30 beds. People are going to die.
I WILL Put all and Every Recording I take from now on on you tube if need be.

I have recorded phone calls with my care coordinator and crisis team because I was in a horrendous place and I felt I wasn't getting the support I needed.
I haven't shown anyone or done anything with it, but I have got them.
Hey Mark, I totally understand your frustration at the poor standard, and lack of care you have been receiving from Ty Illtyd, and the SW, however, although I personally don't believe recording the conversation to use for future reference or transcribe to be inappropriate, it is however not illegal to record, but is illegal to use that recording in any way, other than for personal transcript, if you were to publish it on YouTube for example, you could get into a lot of trouble, and would be committing a criminal offence under the data protection act 1998, I'd suggest using it for making a written transcribe that can be handed to you're parents, who in turn can pass that written transcribe to you're MP, along with details of the Mental Health discrimination act, 2013 :) Maybe that'd scare them enough into giving the appointment you need :)
Good Luck Mark, and I hope you get the support you need :)
I would advise you speak to a legal representative before using this recording for anything.
I understand your frustration with your care but if this recording is handled in the wrong way you could land yourself with a criminal record and losing the trust or your mh team giving them more reason to not see you or work with you.
In you situation I would actually advise contacting the chief executive of the nhs trust you are under.
The are the big cheese and should handle your worries appropriately.
Sometimes pals (if you have one) can be a bit wishy washy where as the chief executive is the head of the organisation and has a lot more to lose if they find that your service is in fact failing to provide support to you. X

Hey Mark PALS is the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, there is none in our areas, I'm not sure if there is any in Wales at all, I don't think there is, their like an advocacy and legal service for NHS patients, so I think our nearest equivalent would be an advocate like Kirstie Morgan, whom you've already contacted, or a solicitor at a free legal advice service, like the Brecon Advice Centre, although they won't have as much knowledge of Patients rights as PALS, it's a shame they don't exist here, there is always the option of contacting the General Medical Council and making a complaint :)
