Is there a better Anti Anxiety than Buspirone? It's Like I'm taking sugar Pills . I'm so anxious I'm tearful . Any Ideas on what is out there?

Hi mark,
There are a few different anxiety meds out there however it would be best to speak to either your GP or psych about it as we can't really tell you which one to get. Don't forget medications have different effects of different people.

Thanks Fire Fly .
Due to a massive cut in funds My Psych has not been replaced after he retired 3 and something years ago and and I have next to no support from the CMHT . My GP want's to talk to my Psych but as I said , I don't have one . Plus I kind of have the idea that if I ask my GP (Who I Like) for 3 times as much Diaz and some Zopiclone it won't likely look good or happen.

Why would you ask for three times the amount? Can you call the CMHT and ask about what's happening with your psych appt?

Three Times because I have roughed out the maths and that is what I would need to keep me calm most of the time.
There are 2 Psych's here. The one I would meet is on the bank and not accepting new patients , The Other I refuse to meet as he triggered me so badly I injured after 3 and a half years free and it's become a struggle again .
I've left the CMHT a message last week and 3 weeks ago. No Reply as of yet . Although my GP has called them now on Thursday too , I've heard nothing.

I guess it depends on how your anxiety manifests.

What kind of symptoms do you find you are experiencing? And which things impact your life the most?

This is what a doctor will ask you.

I have been on medication which treats the physical side of things. And other meds that treat the mental side of thing.

Benzo's can be good in the short term. But long term you will find that there effect lessens as we build up tolerance to it.

'Cause I'll always remember you the same.

My Anxiety Manifests Both Mentally and Physically , My Long Distance Relationship and my Chronic Anxiety plus the mind blowing stuff about getting an American a UK Residential VISA are the main impacting things .

They Always Say that Benzo's are short term meds but I've been on them since 2009 , I need more or an effective alternative as I'm pretty tolerant to them.

Thank You , Wonderland , For replying :)
