Omega 3 and BPD

I've heard of Omega 3 (supplement) being used to help with BPD in the past but don't know anyone who's tried it.

I'm quite keen to give it a go, especially if it's a natural way to help.

Having done a search I can't see any interactions with my current med. Would I be advised to speak to a GP or pass a message on to my psychiatrist before proceeding or do people think it would be okay to just go ahead with it?

Has anyone else tried using Omega 3?

Sorry you didn't get any responses to this. I haven't tried it since I've been diagnosed with BPD, though I was part of a trial of omega 3 when I was doing my GCSEs that was carried out so unscientifically it was featured in Ben Goldacre's Bad Science I believe (though that was just the people carry out the trial, no criticism of the omega 3 itself!)

I would probably double check with a pharmacist next time you pick up your regular meds?

Let us know how you get on with it!

No other sadness in the world would do
