Anxiety affecting speech?

Hello.

Recently I've been having trouble speaking, even just in conversation with one or two friends. I lose my train of thought, I can't think of the correct word, I am incapable of structuring sentences correctly. To be honest, I sound like an idiot.

My anxiety is heavily related to my health so I'm worrying myself silly but as I am so aware of when it's happening I think it could be anxiety causing it. It's a recent thing, I haven't spoken to my doctor about it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

This happens to me through anxiety and tiredness.

Tripping over words, mixing them up, completely going blank, and if I'm really bad stuttering but that's not to often thankfully.

I think the key for me is a hard as it is, is not to stress about it. As that just seems to make it worse. If I just take a breath and carry on yeah I'm still like I am but thats just me at the moment and people will just have to be patient.

For me it's almost like my mouth and brain aren't in sync, at least thats what it feels like.

'Cause I'll always remember you the same.
