I am currently:
I missed the early warning signs - mania

I'm high.
Really high.
Getting higher hour by hour.

It just happened.

Now I can't calm down.

No early warning signs.

I'm under htt for depression but I've just switched.

Could it be eupd or my bipolar? Does it matter?

Can it be managed without another med change ?

Can it just happen like that. Like just bam! Crazy!

I don't think it matters whether EUPD or bipolar. I think you have noticed it now and you can do something about it whilst you still have insight as you do lose that quite quickly.

Maybe talk to HTT about it and see what they suggest but perhaps it's your ad that's caused it as you did start on a high dose.

Can try and do some mindfulness? Like mindfully eating? Or mindfully colouring? Something that takes your brain away from your thoughts. And just let them go.

Thanks htt came and told me to take clonazapam 3x a day and premethrizine at night. Should help. I'm hoping.
Already taken clonaz and it's slowed things down a bit.

I mindfully ate a pot noodle does that count lol

Hythe said they are gonna watch me over the next few days see how I go.

Thank you

The extra prn is helping a lot. It makes me almost normal if I take it on time. So need to rambert to take it on time.

I'm still a bit fast in my thoughts and restless and speech but no where near where I was before the extra meds.

Saw htt and they said I'll be on the extra benzos and premethrizine till Monday then it will be reviewed.

But I'm functioning a lot better.

I've even made a budget because spending is a big issue for me during high episodes.

So today all I need is to buy some food to eat, flowers and a small gift for my gf. That it no more! Just that!

Could also do with tidying my room but even though I have the energy I can't seem to face it because it's such a boring task. And I'm not allowed to play loud music where I live so it's just boring.

Sorry that was a bit of a tangent

Well done for trying so hard to stay on top of things - making a budget sounds really positive.

If you struggle to remember to take the meds on time, could you set alarms on your phone to remind you? I'm glad they're helping things stay more manageable.

If you want to tidy your room could you maybe do little bits at a time with something less boring in between? Are you managing to do relaxing things too?

It'll get better. Until then, have a day."

Can I bump this thread.
I'm still struggling with a high mood and racing thoughts.
I've only been on the new meds 2 weeks and need to give them a chance. But dunno how long to leave it before I consider reducing the anti depressant.

I'm still taking clonazapam daily to keep me calm I've cut out caffeine and I'm still on the high side.

In 8/9 days I've only had one full nights sleep.

My team just keep saying use your skills and I dunno what more I can do. I shouldn't still be taking prn clonaz

I'm all over the place.

The clonaz helps but it's so addictive. I'm worried and I dunno what to do x
