McLean's Gunderson in Boston

Has anyone been to Gunderson? I'm currently in a back and forth over whether I should go, whether it's worth the money etc. I live in Canada so it's extra expensive. Gunderson doesn't even take insurance if you're from the states so it's expensive for everyone.

I'm just wondering, do you need to go IP to get better from BPD? I've been diagnosed for 6 years and in that time been hospitalized countless times, had ECT, had 2 surgeries to fix self harm... It's really the self-harm that's out of control for me. I don't get overwhelming angry at people, I don't have sexual relations with anyone at all. I'm impulsive, but only with self-harm really.

I just don't know what to do. I need to talk to someone who's done the program.

Thanks

I am currently:

I'm very familiar with McLean's Hospital as it is only about an hour from me and I was IP there for a month and had been placed in the Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder Inpatient Program way back in 2001.

The hospital is located in Belmont,MA and is one of the best in treating BPD and other psychiatric disorders.
