When I first joined RYL there were ads and we had to click them and their were numerous threads urging members to do it.
I was thinking about it now and it made me smile.

My memory of them was health/medical stuff. They got pulled if I recall when Harley could fund them but also because of to many click views with no links so to speak!

Haha, I was thinking about them the other day! I remember them being medical stuff too I think!
Then I got a little sad because if RYL nostalgia is a thing, I have probably been wasting toooo much of my life on here :P
I kinda miss v2 though!

As I understood it, clicking the ads helped pay for the costs of the site which were not inconsiderable. But sadly the advertisers eventually got wise and that source of funding came to an end ... But full marks to Harley for getting away with it for as long as he did!
