Triggering (SI) - Dilemma (Triggering - be careful)

I've been sent a needle in the post because I volunteered to be a bone marrow donor. I'm to take it to my GP so they can take my blood. Thing is I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tempted to use it to hit the vien in my arm.

If you are seriously tempted, can you either destroy it or give it to someone for safe keeping? Do you have a friend or therapist you can call to talk things through with?
