I can hear my dad- is there a technology that does this?

My dads trade is computers. He tries to invent software, and fix stuff and is very successful at it.

I hear voices, often so they are random and like flicking through radio channels, like hopping from this to that. Otherwise I hear a little girl (not since Quetiapine went up) and or some others that are less recognisable as "someone" and just give orders here and there ( usually in crisis points) orrrrr, insults from people who I think are real (and according to others aren't, but I can't differentiate this and so never know if my run ins with people are real or not so I go along with it as all is real)

BUT

lately, OUTSIDE MY HEAD, like he is sat next to me I hear sentences in my dads voice. I have not had contact outside of the occasional email for YEARS. but he is still alive. Anyway, is there a technology that can communicate like this? I out it in mental health because the background is voice related but I'm wondering if this should go in general support. I don't know. I don't know how to categorise this right now... It seems in categorical because you know it's all weird and stuff.

So anyway..... To any technology people is this possible. Like telepathy but with technology now, I mean it's so advanced.

And I'm saying my dad is a super whizz. He discovered the Internet before they even released it by accidentally hacking onto it. He makes technologies for a living, so if it can be done, he can do it.

Like he can hack and break secure servers (hospitals, schools and public cctv.....for fun)

Xx

At the moment I'm not aware of any technology that is capable of doing this. As you already hear other voices and haven't had much contact with your Dad for quite some time, I expect this is is another voice that isn't really there. It sounds quite distressing - how are you feeling about it?

Are you getting any support for your voices? It might be worth telling a professional about this new additional voice and seeing if they can give any insight.

x

It is distressing. He's not saying anything nice, just the usual crap. "You cost a lot of money" for example. As if I need to cost him anything.

It makes me uncomfortable, so I end up having tea and a smoke afters. I told my cc. I made a cartoon/drawing story of what's going on. She just said, "mmmm hmmmm oh right" and spoke about how I drew eyes facing the front, because I never make eye contact.

I told my gp. She suggested that it means he is on my mind, despite my ignoring his emails. I didn't think he was on my mind, but I just feel like it's something else. Because it's so much HIS voice. Other times, it's no one I know, except the little girl one.

He is prone to stalking me, it's not out of the question. X

I seriously doubt it's some kind of technology. As you already do hear voices it is more likely to be that, even though you're hearing this voice a bit differently (outside your head). Your GP might be on the right track saying your Dad is on your mind. Some people find that their voices are manifestations of things they need, or think about, or are scared of communicating to them in that way. Maybe by thinking about your Dad and trying to resolve anything that brings up will get rid of that voice.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.

there is no way to resolve my issues with him, it's too much. He's being a total joker now, he's stolen some of my brain so that he can know what i'm doing, where I'm going and stuff about my life.

it's like I'm left a zombie...i don't even know what to do to make hime stop!

Can you type this out, or write it down, and show it to your psych / doctor? It seems that you're struggling badly atm.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

I'm going away with my mum tomorrow. I see my dr when i get home. I will tell her then though, because i feel like i'm half a person right now. I think he's stolen the emotional section of my brain because i'm so flat like ----------------------

i'm not even nervous. I looked at a law book in the library earlier, but i feel like I need to burn it to get the information out of it - but i wasn't allowed to check it out because i owe the library too much money.

It would be impossible for him to steal the emotional parts of your brain.

When I came to my mums she put it back in when I was asleep.

So I just have a little brain damage until it heals but at least I have my brain back. I've been a bit numbed and slow bc of it but I think I'm healing now which is good.

I haven't confronted her bc she's trying to be nice and make an effort and I don't want to start an argument.

I'm trying to act like I'm not bothered but I obviously am because I keep shouting and screaming in my sleep apparently.

I still struggle to concentrate but it's better than it was before. My mum must have had a word with him.
