Jaffa Cakes are not widely sold here. I read so much about them I thought I would get some from ebay. I thought they were chocolate. Then I read they were choclate and orange - which I might not like. Then I read there was going to be a mostly chocolate version of Jaffa Cakes but those articles were from 2012. I haven't seen them sold on ebay yet. Were they ever made and sold in UK?
Milk chocolate Jaffa Cakes could be released as Britain craves a sweeter taste
I think they were sold for a while. You can get off-brand milk chocolate jaffa cakes in pound shops etc. A bit different but still tasty! They're not mostly chocolate, it's still chocolate and orange but instead of dark chocolate on the top they used milk.
Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

Thanks - I've seen some other McVities items I might like more (not a big orange fan!).
I might like the "chocolatey chuckle" of "Penguins" - the "buttery swagger" of "Boasters" - the "oaty rough and tumble" of "Hobnobs" or the "tingly tickle" of "Ginger Nuts"
Then again it is the "zesty mischief" of "Jaffa Cakes" that capitvated my interest
digestives are plain biscuits supposedly nearish a graham cracker. the ones your on about are half coated in chocolate and are scrummy
Thanks. I was reading a "digestive" was thought to help digestion due their baking soda ingredient. I wonder if Pizza (calcium) can do the same things lol
If you are going to have Hobnobs, they have to be the chocolate ones. They are a god among biscuits. Much more than simply a normal hobnob with a chocolate topping. Be warned though, you cannot only have the one.
I got hooked onto Hobnobs when my friend moved to England and sent me a bunch. They sell them in a food store here (in the US) in the international section, but the prices are ridiculous so I usually just stare at them with a sulk.
But I'm not cursed, I'm not cursed
I was just covered in dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt.
People are so greedy. What's wrong with Jaffa Cakes the way they are??? Amateurs. :P
I strongly agree! I loooooooooooove Jaffa cakes. Sadly I can't have them in my flat because they are like Pringles (once you pop, you can't stop). Do Pringles adverts still have that catch phrase?
I strongly recommend you buy Jaffa cakes. So yummy! I also like chocolate digestives, but I tend to buy shop's own brands which are just as good.
Well that's weird. I don't like white or dark chocolate, only milk chocolate, yet jaffas are my favourite biscuit (yes I consider them biscuits) and I never knew or noticed they are dark chocolate...
I can't afford posh mcvities though. It's usually lidl or aldi brand. I can't remember what jaffas i had before those shops opened here. Tescos probably.
Humm..I might like Hobnobs better because of the orange thing. I suppose I'll have to try Jaffa and Hobnobs. Am I wrong or is "Jaffa" also a popular pet name? Seems to me I recall a lot of cats namd Jaffa.

I got the Hobnobs and they were good (they didn't last long). They reminded me of a cross between "Graham Crackers" (US) and oatmeal cookies. Jaffas next..

Is a chocolate muffin loving glitter ball
Boasters are such posh biscuits that your mam only ever let you have one of whereas you could have 2 hobnobs or gingernuts.
^ I laughed at how true this is.
Jaffa cakes are amazing, I have a friend who moved to England from Australia and she loved them, she's back in Australia now though, which is truly tragic for her biscuit eating habits.
I really don't like hobnobs, chocolate digestives are so nice though, especially the ones with caramel in.
Oh god I want to hear you say,
I want to hear you say that you were wrong again
This is the first thing

I probably would like the chocolate Hobs even more than the reular ones so I better avoid trying them lol.
On another note, my shipment of Hobs came wrapped in bubble wrap/paper and they survived trip from UK intact. I expected to open package and see crumbs lol
