sleep
I'm currently only sleeping 3-4 hours a night and when I wake up I feel refreshed like I've had 10 hours.
I know this is very little sleep but if I'm not tired should I be concerned or should I just accept I don't need as much right now.

As you may know now sleeping *can* be an indicator of a mania episode, especially if you're feeling refreshed and have energy after such a short amount of sleep. Can you bring it up with htt?
It might be worth keeping an eye out for other symptoms you know of, or any changes in behaviour or mood, over the next while and act on the earlier rather than later by seeking support and being safe (ie if your mood does go up, don't have access to a lot of money or try to restrict how much you drive etc).

It might not feel like you need more sleep but your body and mind won't be able to sustain itself properly for any significant length of time.
Like Aimee said it can be an indicator of a manic episode and on the flip side not getting sufficient sleep can trigger mood episodes or other symptoms in the best of people never mind those that are susceptible to mood episodes or other mental health symptoms.

Are you taking your meds correctly?
|
PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

Yep I'm taking my meds.
I don't feel manic. But my mood is a bit all over the place. Like rapid cycling.
I might ask for a short course of zopiclone.

Have you ever completed a WRAP or spent some times looking at what your early warning signs and triggers are?
Sleeping less can be indicative of hypo mania but is it one of your signs? I'd say you know that it is which is why you asked for sleeping tablets but I wonder if you could spend some time looking at this so you can refer to etc.

I did a WRAP years ago with my old he up north but my current care team don't do them. I could look one up though.
I'm 7 days sober today and I think it's the lack of "knocking myself out with alcohol" that has affected my sleep pattern.
Saying that the zopiclone worked very well last night x

You can find them online
I'm sure your care coordinator would happily help if you asked them.

hi,
this is not good for health, you may need atleast 6 to 7 hours of sleep everyday.just consult with your doctor or else take sleeping pills with lower dosage with doctor prescription.
