Rheumatology Appointment

Hey you beautiful lot ,

After waiting for what seems like forever, I finally got my appointment through for the 'rheumatology musculoskeletal treatment service' today after my new GP referred me on the basis that he thinks I have arthritis, he did note that he can't just diagnose me & that I need them too, anyway, back to the point - For those who have been seen by rheumatology, what should I expect, do I need to prepare in some way, & what will they ask?

Thankies <3

I have 0 advice but I hope it goes well for you and you get some answers. Might be helpful to write down a list of questions you have for them? <3

Given enough tea I could rule the world.

They will examine you. Check all your joints out for range of movement and pain and probably take X-rays and do some blood tests. I think that's what happened first time I went. You probably won't need to undress much and they might arrange an appointment with physiotherapy for you or with the podiatrist if your feet are affected and special insoles would help. They can give you specially made hand supports for night time if you need them.
