Really could use some support
Sorry for posting and asking for support when I'm hardly ever around.
I have a really big change coming up and I'm really anxious. I have a date where I'm moving to cornerstone house (9th June). I have a major block about it, I have been on the ward I'm on for 7months, 9months total in hospital!!! Any support advice about moving on would be great. Thanks

Heya,
That sounds like a big change to cope with so it's understandable to be feeling so anxious, especially after spending 9 months in hospital. Do the staff there know how anxious you're feeling about it? If not, could you try to talk to them about it and see if there are any ways they can help you to prepare for it?
Different situation, but I'm feeling similar about moving to a new flat next month, and one thing I'm planning to do is put personal things up as soon as possible so it feels more familiar. Would that help at all?

Hi, they are looking into there being some in reach work, so my new team come meet me before I move (familiar faces) and another visit up to them

Good luck. It's perfectly understandable to be feeling so nervous and I hope your team manage to help you as much as possible. X

It's getting closer! I can't stand the tension. The ward I'm on said they'd really try and help with the transition but I don't know what I need. I'm starting to back out on the whole idea of going but my cc reminded me I'm on sec3 so they could move me :(

If it helps, I've been to cornerstone house twice and it is a really good place. Not like your typical hospital.
I'd recommend it to anyone and that's high praise coming from me!
The transition will no doubt be difficult because you've been in that hospital for a long time. I can remember having to move after a really long time in one hospital and it is really hard but you soon settle in once you get used to the routine and the people.

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!
Who else is fine?!?!?

Have you had a chance to meet anyone from cornerstone house, or visit it? Hope the move goes well!
