Continue living in supported living or go travelling and loneliness on return?

Should I continue living in supported living with no chance of achieving my dream of travelling the world, I feel like I'm wasting my life here but on the other hand I have a tremendous support network which if I go travelling I might need to give it up.

Because of my Schizoaffective disorder the supported living higher management say I need two support staff to accompany me so one week in spain one is talking 4 grand and I simply can't afford it.

What should I do?

How about start by travelling the UK? You could do a day trip here and there, and the costs for taking support staff would be less. You'd still be travelling and exploring.

Sherlock's idea of visiting the UK sounds like a good idea.

Have you spoken to your support worker about feeling you are wasting your life, they might be able to help you work on some longer term goals that might help you feel a bit like you are doing something with your life and are achieving something. There is nothing worse than feeling like you are stuck in a situation that you can't see a way out of.
