I am currently:
slimming world.

Ive gained a lot of weight on my meds and im not happy with it. Ive gone from a low healthy weight to a high (almost overweight) weight.
I was thinking about slimming world and wondered if anyone else had used this to lose weight they gained from meds?

My partner has been doing slimming world for a few months and has had a lot of success with it. I started it myself last week and am doing well so far.
Xx

I went to one week with a friend because I was bored and it seemed a bit more complex than saw Weight Watchers where you just count points or others that count calories but it's aimed at actual healthy eating which is good. My friend lost a lot of weight but you really need to plan meals for the week in advance because it Requires more thought.

I did slimming world before and lost weight easier compared to weight watchers. WW is all about point counting and I hated it, whereas on SW you essentially fill up on free food and make sure 1/3 of your plate is superfree food and this means you won't really feel hungry in between meals. For any food that doesn't fit into either category you do get a point allowance per day (called 'syns' which apparently stands for synergy!).

It very aimed at healthy, balanced eating with a big emphasis on cooking from scratch. If you tend to rely on ready meals and packaged foods for your meals then you'll struggle on slimming world.

In the end I stopped doing it because of my BED and things went kind of haywire.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

I've not done slimming world but I did weight watchers a few years back and I think there are similarities.
Weight watchers was so good- the only diet that ever worked for me and kept the weight off! Would advocate it to anyone!

I do slimming world and love it.

To a certain extent you do have to plan but if you batch cook or have stuff like pasta/frozen veggies etc it's much easier. SW also released 8 different ready meals recently so it's much easier for people who perhaps don't cook from scratch as much.

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.

of course! i went to the group when i was at the top end of a healthy BMI as I had gained a lot of weight on the contraceptive pill and struggled to get it off

i'm doing slimming world again at the moment but I don't attend groups, i just do it online.
