Hypersexuality?

I came across this phrase in reference to mental illness symptoms and got curious. (Edit: I have high functioning asd)

I keep feeling like touching everyone, and having sexual relations with most of them. I don't often touch anyone unless we're friends and they know how I act, but I wouldn't mind it in almost all cases. This might just be a teenage thing, but none of my friends seem very interested in truly participating in sex and I seem a bit too focused on it.

I know my dad is somewhat like this only through stories, since he doesn't seem like it outwardly. Along with genetics, certain childhood events might have helped fuel this (being exposed to sex early). Does anyone have any personal experience or know a good source for this?

"Another day when you drain yourself completely could be the night when your life ends."
"Well if you wanted honestly, that's all you had to say."
"I just want to get out of this prison cell; someday I'm gonna be free..."
"The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out..."
"If I scream, if I cry, it's only 'cause I feel alive."
"How can you be so flawless?"

I know that this is a classic symptom of mania in bipolar disorder; what were you reading when you cams across it?

I think the key point is whether these feelings are a problem for you. It could well be a result of teenage hormone changes, which in itself is normal and harmless. However throwing in issues like being exposed to sex early makes it all a bit more challenging to bear. It could well be that your friends feel the same, as teenagers, but are embarrassed and shy about it. You say you have ASD so communicating sexuality may feel different for you compared with your friends.

I cant think of any resources specific to being hypersexualised, but youthnet.org is good for young peoples issues and may address some of your questions.

Does this feeling happen all the time? Does it bother you? Or does it happen sometimes?

I'm wondering if you're experiencing the usual feelings of sexual arousal, also known as feeling horny. If you have an autism spectrum disorder then those feelings might feel difficult and it might make you wonder if it's something that's wrong, but it might actually be something that's 'normal' especially if you are a teenager and I imagine going through/have just gone through puberty.

But if it's something you think is there all of the time, and it is really upsetting you or interfering with your daily life then I would seek help and advice from a doctor or psychiatrist.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.
