Something isn't quite right
Okay, so I know that this may sound slightly crazy but I think that something isn't quite right with me and I'm not really sure how to explain it.
I feel like a ticking time bomb, my moods are up and down with no explanation. My relationship is now suffering, my boyfriend understandably is getting tired of the endless arguments, because all of a sudden I'm so insecure and as most of his friends are girls, I feel like he could be cheating on me (stupid and not been a problem since we've been together which is almost a year). He is being incredibly supportive and just wants me to get some help, but I can't get an appointment around work until 9th January and I don't have the type of job where I can nip out for an appointment.
I've been to the doctors recently and been told that I'm just a little stressed. But I honestly think something else is going on. I am struggling to sleep, my mind is overactive all of the time. I'm stupidly happy for no reason, managed to get a credit card bill over 3k now due to a shopping spree. Card obviously is no more. But I go from being stupidly happy to floods of tears with nothing happening. I'm all over the place.
And I really don't know what to do,
And I don't think that any of this makes sense.

Sounds like you need to ask to see a mental health professional. It all sounds really hard.
Can you get a phone appointment with your gp

You did make sense! It sounds like you've been having mood swings as well as these new insecurities around your relationship.
Definitely see your GP (it's not really that long until the 9th so please hold on) and ask to see someone from the mental health team. I'd print off what you wrote here and read it out as you explained well how you feel.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.

I'm sorry you are struggling at the moment. It sounds like things are difficult for you at the moment. I think it might be worth printing off your post or writing something similar down for when you see your GP next. If you are going on spending sprees it might be advisable to give your cards to your partner for the time being.
Have you managed to book a GP appointment?
Do you feel stressed? Stress plays havoc with my mood too and although managing my stress better doesn't alleviate the mood symptoms it can help me cope with the symptoms better.

As other have said, printing off what you've written here would be a good idea to help you convey everything that you want to say at your GP appointment- there's nothing worse than coming out of an appointment and thinking 'damn, wish I'd remembered to mention xyz'
In the meantime, could you try reducing any of the things that might be causing you stress (e.g. not doing overtime if that's something you normally do, asking your boyfriend to give you a little bit of help with any household chores or errands you may do) and dedicate some time each day for relaxation and reflection time to see if that helps at all?
